Customer Review

VINE VOICEon 8 December 2005
The sequel to the original Matrix, this film had a lot to live up to and unfortunately it falls quite short of its illustrious predecessor. Taking off from where the first finished, this film takes you from the Matrix to the last city of Zion itself, all represented beautifully. Despite this, the film seems to lack some of the style of the first, the fight scenes go on for just that bit too long, the balance between action and story seems to be slightly off and much of the acting also seems to have deteriorated since the first film. The CGI, in spite of being technically superior to that of the original, seems to lack its predecessors impressive appearance seeming quite average in comparison. The irony is that if it hadn’t been for the first film in the series, this one would have probably seemed quite good but with the Matrix setting the bar so high this film just couldn’t really make the cut.
