Having loved "Hot fuss" when it first came out i was defo looking forward to this the second album. After hearing "when we were young" on the radio i thought the rest of the album would be quite similar.how wrong was i,even though the killers are a great band and feel sure they will be around a lot longer to make even better albums, this one is a poor let down. The problem i have is that for most of this album they seem to have introduced a horn sax/trombone section which is very evident accross most of their songs especially in Bones,Bling & this river is wild. This what makes this album very different to the last! however there are some excellent tracks like "Read my mind", "My list" (slow pulsating track that grows on you and very different to other tracks on the album), "when we were young" and "reasons unknown", are my favourites but i am afraid this isn't as good as the excellent and rawness of "Hot fuss" where every track was sheer brilliance!
If your fan get it anyway as it is much cheaper now but expect no "hot fuss"
ON 1-5-15 ~~UPDATE: Have to say after a couple of Killer albums since this one I find this one now looking back so much better than I originally thought, it is probably the 2nd best Killers album, the trend is that from each one after each album release have not as been as good as the previous one.
