HP h9-1040uk Desktop PC with TV Tuner (Intel Core i7-2600, 3.4 Processor, RAM 8GB DDR3, HDD 2TB, Wireless LAN, Blu-ray, Windows 7 Home 64 Bit) With 12 year-old HP pc struggling these days, I decided to go for the same make for the family all-purpose pc, hoping for something as robust and flexible. This offering is very fast, very quiet, flexible, and looks good. The C-drive is a pathetic 100gb, unequal to modern/future demands especially for gaming(Not so much Back to Karkand as back to Square One - will replace as soon as convenient,)and of course the bluray player can't play pre-recorded bluray discs. And why no standard HDMI ports? (and why could the cheapskates at HP not include an appropriate cable? Already looking for a replacement for the cheap 'n' nasty HP adapter for hdmi before it disintegrates). We already have a pc built to similar specs (no bluray), half the price, half the build quality, but without these restrictions. Hope this HP pc lasts as long as the previous one, but it's very irritating to have to spend time and money making a brand new HP computer actually do its job. A nearly excellent machine rendered almost obsolete by HP stupidity.
Update: Checking connections inside as per a user's suggestion seems (illogically) to have fixed the bluray which is suddenly working fine at last, and more importantly can download programs to E-drive and use them. Looking at other reviews, it seems there may be a quality control problem. Touched the cheap hdmi adapter which disintegrated - an "adapting" mini-standard cable (if I can get one long enough) is a probably a better solution anyay.
