i wasnt sure about embarking on this read to begin with, fearing a 'woe is me' account of a dying loved one, but the book isnt! It is a refreshing, honest account of the loss of a parent and how it personally relates to the author. The style is not flowered or over the top but clear, insightful and honest. i thoroughly enjoyed it and was moved. The moment when the author's grandfather is also lost and the news broken to his grandmother had me momentarily choked. Loved it.
