A misanthropic mind spoken with a poet's tongue...,

It can be said of very few comedians that a performance not discernably hindered by any real time constraint actually enlivens their material; a talent such as that possessed by Moran, however, needs as much time and space as can be. This allows for the large auditorium to feel drawn in close - for this performance is all about making the seemingly large but distant appear smaller but more acute - and as events in the big bad world are reprocessed through a slatternly cynical but nevertheless unquenchable heart, it's clear that material this vital and personal and perceptive demands more than the standard 30 minute slot for it to begin to breathe on its own. His trademark pseudo-rambling and vowely delivery can be tricky to keep up with and, if I were to offer any suggestions for improvement to this package, it would be include a subtitle track because the breadth and subtleties of Moran's lexicon are such that for a viewer to miss a few words per sentence is truely a shame. Nobody on the contemporary comedy circuit has quite the grasp of the English language as Moran, and no-one certainly can deploy it in such a dexturous, and delighfully funny way.
