Pathfinder, the story of a pioneering airman,
This review is from: Pathfinder (Bomber crews) (Paperback)
A remarkable story of the flying career of Don Bennett and the part he played in founding the pathfinder force during the bombing campaign against Germany. Equally fascinating is the story of his pioneering flights with Imperial Airways, trailblazing the new air routes to the east and to Africa, and the first transatlantic commercial flights, just before the outbreak of the war.
Clearly a man with strong opinions and he shows his disappointment with the situation in Britain after the war.
This book will make you want to know more about those pioneers of aviation in the thirties and those brave men who led the way in taking the war to Germany after the dark days of 1940-41.
