Customer Review

on 10 October 2012
What a practical guide! I bought this after finding the route on the web and decided to use the route as part of a much longer trip. Having used Esterbauer books for some years i was a bit dubious about the format and usefulness of this 'Radwanderkarte'.

I was pleasantly surprised, the laminated finish a nice touch and the mapping clear enough for the most part (i did go a little astray in Kassel but that was my fault not the maps!). Whilst not giving chapter and verse on everywhere the information on attractions was useful. The Z fold is easy to use out on the road although the size meant more stops for map change than i like!

The route itself is not too strenuous - i did the west to east, Herkules to Eisenach direct route in a steady six hours riding, with rail options on a lot of the route it would make a great weekend route.
