After reading many books on child sexual abuse, its effects and how to cope with them, this one is the best. People have shared their stories very frankly and movingly with the ethos being on realistic positive progress. The authors are very careful to advise on support for the readers whilst using this book, as it raises questions on responsibility, why children were not protected, abusing mothers etc. These can be very upsetting. At last someone is showing an understanding of the feelings and thoughts involved in these very difficult problems and not just churning out text book material. Also the writers are from the UK, which helps, as there are plenty of books from the USA which I cannot relate to.
