But is it a load tester?,
This review is from: Battery Tester With Digital Display (DIY & Tools)
I purchased one of these devices thinking that it could check the 'load' condition of a rechargeable battery, instead of just providing a power or voltage reading via a LCD readout.
My mistake I am afraid, and I was possibly asking far to much of this device, because while it will show whether a 'standard' battery as possible sufficient juice via good, weak, poor, then that's all it would appear to do. And I am not all that sure if the readings are truly accurate at that!.
Having also purchased similar power-voltage devices, I tend to find that most of them seem to appear to work on the same principle, and are possible good value for basic tests. But even then, readings from different 'similar' devices can differ slightly.
So my conclusion: Definately not for drop load testing of rechargeables, were voltage can drop rapidly on the condition and perhaps age or usage of the battery. But possibly ideal for having around, for a quick simple 'normal or standard' battery check. Another point worth adding, is that the device is powered by its own AAA type 1.5volt battery, and I am not sure what happens when that becomes weak or poor. So you might need to remove the battery, if the device isn't in use on a regular basis!.
