After the disappointment of the very short and linear Rising Sun this is a slight but definite improvement. This time you fight as an American in 4 locations through Europe. There are eleven missions each set in its own unique battlefield/map. As you make you way though the map towards your final goal you are presented with additional objectives which take you to different parts of the map to blow up tanks artillery get documents the usual MOH fodder. There is still a large linear element to the game with you in effect being directed from one set piece to another though there is far more freedom than in previous games. Another additional feather is that you can control a squad which comes with you through your mission or until they are killed. This works well and the control system is very very simple and in a lot of cases they look after themselves. This element is very similar to Call of Duty. There is no on line multi player this time though you can play with up to 4 friends using a multitap. These multiplayer levels are actually fairly good and a lot of fun. On any thing other than the easiest level this game is reasonably hard, this is achieved by having lots and lots of Germans on most levels. The new feature of blood splatter when a german is shot, which I think is a new feature for the series, works well. I don't see this game taking to long to complete though and I'm not sure if there is much replay value but perhaps I'm being to harsh. If you like this sort of game I don't think this will disappoint.
