My wife and I have both had these boxes and used them only 2-3 times a week; hinges on both boxes broke within 3 months.

It's a real shame: the concept is brilliant, the design a delight, and the seal is perfectly tight. But once those hinge clasps break, you can't use the boxes for anything.

(I wrote to the designers about the problem but they never responded.)

Im not sure if you will ever be notified of my response but to those who are reading the reviews it may be of benefit.
I have just responded to another reviewers review as my box appetit also broke and I have since contacted the manufacturers, then to my horror read your response here that they never responded to your email, thats awful!

If I dont hear back from them, I have every intention of phoning and then sending the box back to them in the mail. Along with a print out of everyone elses responses on here as for the money it should last longer than a month. That aside, this company has won design awards, which also aided in my choosing to invest in the product. It clearly should be readdressed on principle.

I sent them an email and got a reply straight away. The fault is recognised and now rectified - and they can send you a new lid in 1-3 days. So email via their website contact page, and you will be sent a link to an online form to submit your contact details for new lid delivery (inc. US etc.)
