Customer Review

on 7 September 2011
This is a huge airbed, when properly inflated, and is extremely comfortable and raises you off the cold ground very well. you do need an insulating layer between you and the airbed though such as a blanket.

When new it smelt of plastic quite strongly but this quickly reduced to very low levels. It is pretty flat all the way across which is good

The problem is despite having no obvious leaks, it very slowly goes down a small amount overnight in cold conditions. I think this is body heat softening the plastic which then gives more, not a problem with stretchy rubber airbeds. The material seems tough but to save cost the manufacturers have put only ONE inflation and deflation point. This makes deflating it a nightmare as the material is stiff and easily traps air in one section as you roll it. It is also a heavy object. the black thing you see at one end was easily rolled around it when we bought it and unwrapped it but since then it has never fitted into this packing sheet. I would guess it would be impossible to effectively pack this on a cold day and absolutely forget about hiking with it.

Like a lot of modern products, a little more thought and design would have made this a far better thing. Two or three inflation points would have made packing it a lot easier and perhaps splitting it into a couple of seperate air cells would have made it a bit more comfy

Overall, great if you dont mind seriously wrestling it for ages to get it deflated and rolled. Far far more comfortable than traditional airbeds
