Nice sound, unreliable craftsmanship,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Ultimate Ears 300vi Noise-Isolating Headset (Electronics)
Extemely good sound, well thought design, comfortable to wear - however seriously flawed by the technical embodiment: the set doesn't last more than two-three months. This year I bought 2 of those headsets from Amazon - both developed problems in the third month of light usage. The left ear holder cover burst through revealing a long and sharp steely strip coming from inside - which looks pretty dangerous. Soon the sound in one of the earpieces packed up.
A chap whom I, being somewhat silly, had recommended the headset last autumn also has a problem with his - the sound periodically disappears...
The attempt to claim warranty from amazon failed, they refer me to maker of the set - promising on the phone to send me a link to the corresponding site, however the email never materialized.
PS. Have just been contacted by amazon and they are issuing refund.

Exactly my issue, the steel part in the orange rubber broke after 1-month, then one earpiece broke 3 months after I bought this, such a shame because I thought I'd found the ultimate earphone for running long distances without having to fiddle every 5mins.
