A very useful book to have on the shelf,
This review is from: Neuroanatomy: An Illustrated Colour Text, 4e (Paperback)
This is probably an area of medicine that many students struggle with so a dedicated book is a good idea. The introductory chapter clearly explains much of the relevant terminology and anatomy which is a great way to start off the book. This means later chapters are easier to understand. The chapters are then each focussed on different parts of the neuroanatomy but with clinical diseases also explained. There are lots of diagrams, radiological images and real life photographs/ dissections to explain the anatomy. There are also numerous summary boxes at the end of each section. The final chapter has several problems to solve with well set out diagrams to test your knowledge. This is primarily an anatomy book but the addition of clinical cases helps show how this knowledge can be put into practice. Overall, this is a very useful book to have on the shelf.
