One of the better Tommy and Tuppence novels.,
This review is from: By the Pricking of My Thumbs (Tommy & Tuppence Chronology) (Paperback)
There is a kind of horrible sense of foreboding about this book which goes from the very beginning to the shocking end. The sense of mystery is always there and the puzzle is well-though out, if nigh-on impossible to solve. The atmosphere is really chilling and the settings so disarming that you really rush through to find out what happened. One sour note is that for the third Tommy and Tuppence novel in succession (and there were only four) one of them gets bopped on the head - a little tedious by now. However, well worth a look for something out of the ordinary.
