With a name like 'Brian Cox' attached to it I was expecting much more. I know that it was an inexpensive publication but even so I don't consider it to have been value for money.
The book was a triumph of style over content. Many of the pages were full of a handful of words in a huge font. Eye-catching but little else.
This wouldn't have been such an issue if the content wasn't so pedestrian. I felt that it was aimed at an intelligent ten year old and I finished the book without any sense of awe and having learned little that I didn't already know.
