Customer Review

on 23 June 2012
My order for these was confirmed by Amazon at 14.40 on Friday. I was then notified that the order had been dispatched at 15.05. The item was delivered before 09.30 on Saturday, the following day. Hence 5* for the service!

I tie my own flies, but find dry flies rather too fiddly, time consuming and expensive to tie these days. Small light weight hooks have to be used, and the cock hackle has to be of good quality with just the right length in the individual fibres to suit the size of the hook. Small up-wing dry flies are particularly difficult to cope with. All of the 50 dry flies I received appear to have been tied very well, and cover a good range of traditional and variant patterns. I expect to use them soon on my local trout lake, and only then will their resilience be known. However, including the postage and packing (£3.00), the average cost per fly is less than 29p. Tackle shops generally charge around £1.00 or more per dry fly, so these are a real bargain!
