This review is from: So Far from Home: The Diary of Mary Driscoll, an Irish Mill Girl (Dear America (Reissues)) (Library Binding)
So Far From Home is about an Irish girl called Mary Driscoll. She lives in the 1840s(the time of The Famine in Ireland). Mary has to leave her parents in Ireland and join her sister and Aunt in America where she tries to make enough money for her parents to join her there. The book is very interesting but I found myself shedding a few tears.
