This review is from: Big Little Sweaters Hb (Hardcover)
There are 20 different charted designs ranging from novelties like cowboys, poodles, mouse, through florals, on to abstract, with some others inbetween. Every design has been made in more than one colourway, and more than one shape and size.
The wonderful idea with this book is that every design can be made as, a jacket with a roll collar, a slipover, a waistcoat, an up to the neck cardigan, a short top and a crew neck sweater. All these items can be made in every size starting at about 24" chest up to 48" chest.
The yarn used is Rowan 4 ply or double knitting, but as the author says, use whatever yarn you like - just do the tension square first.
This book is the most terrific value, especially if you like colourwork knitting (it states clearly whether to use fair isle, intarsia, or a mix of these for each design. I feel that Sasha Kagan has thought of just about everything with this one. I have other books by her, her basic style remains the same through all her books but she does manage to bring something new to each one.
