Actually I wanted to give 3,5 stars. This is my first book from Lori Wilde and it was not a disappointment. Unbeliveably rich Mason Gentry drives to Las Vegas to search for his grandpa. Private Investigator Charlee Champagne was fed up with the rich, handsome, tall and brown-eyed guys; just like Mason Gentry. It was just then understood that Charlee's grandmother has also disappeared with Mason's grandfather. They start a road trip by Mason's car; Matilda (actually a Bentley). The trip turns to a dangerous, humorous, adventurous experience. What I like about the female character is, she's strong yet tender. I must say that she is very modern. I have also liked the male character. What I don't like is the Harlequin writing style of the author. This book is from Warnerbooks, so I expected something different. On the other hand it goes without saying that "perfect for the beach".
