This album, arranged and conducted by Claus Ogerman, was released in 1967 on the Reprise label the year after Vic Damone's Stay With Me. Both are made up largely but not entirely of Jobim numbers, but both are bossa nova arrangements. Here, as well as Dindi, Quiet nights of quiet stars, Meditation, How insensitive, If you never come to me and Once I loved (all by Jobim) we have Berlin's Change partners, Porter's I concentrate on you and the Wright & Forrest number from Kismet, Baubles, bangles and beads. Much as Sinatra does a great job on all of them, it would have been nice to have had a themed album entirely of Jobim. But, with such fine renditions, we shouldn't quibble. Recommended.
