Eggs with short toast,
This review is from: Tefal TT550015 Toast N Egg Two Slice Toaster and Egg Maker, 1200 W (Kitchen & Home)
As a toaster this makes pretty good toast (as you'd like to hope!). The added extra is the ability(?) to poach or boild eggs at the same time.
This works surprisingly well (tho' I've yet to boil an egg), but with a couple of reservations. You have to watch this like a hawk or all the eggs will be hard (which is not so good when poaching an egg). Additionally, the little pan holding the egg is very shallow (about 1.5cm). This makes the first reservation all the more important.
My major problem with this, howver, is the size of the bread slots. They are just too short. I don't know if they'd be the right size for a "standard" <shudder> white sandwhich loaf, but thy're not for the bread I buy - hence marking it down.

I would venture that this was designed for the North American market and that the 'toast' slots were actually meant for crumpets/english muffins so that you could make yourself an 'egg McMuffin'.
