Sorry... oldest language in Europe?
Ok I cannot say I totally gree with that, no doubt old, but it is impossible to date when Welsh became distinct from the other languages of Brythonic descent, and still further when those became distinct from the Celtic languages and again from the Indo-Eurpoean laguage. And as for literary Welsh, the oldest attested documents in Welsh are not quite as old as those found in Irish.
Wi'n dysgu Cymraeg. I'm still learning Welsh, it is an amazing language that is a joy to speak so I'm going to get this book to help with my learning.

Been a while since I wrote this or even bothered with the reviews part of Amazon. Forgive my typo as that should read one of the oldest. It amazes me however that rather than enjoying a book which has been very well translated you'd pick up on the minor details of my mis-spelling / typing.

I agree with you entirely, but that's people for you! I enjoyed your review and will buy this book on the strength of it. However, I will be buying a used copy as I will need to scribble the English words down where I don't know the Welsh - and there are likely to be loads of them! Thank you. Karla.
