I wasn't expecting a great deal from this book for some reason, but I found it thoroughly enjoyable and accessible. Toby Young is a surprisingly likeable narrator, and the reader cannot help but be amused by some of his outlandish faux pas while working in New York City. He is candid and open about his shortcomings, and it's a fascinating mix of egotism and desperate insecurity - while being really funny at the same time. I'm glad I gave it a go - it's great when your expectations are exceeded when reading a book.
