I have been a Christian nearly 17 years and have struggled with many different expectations that various Church's have pinned on me as to what it means to be a Christian, and a good Christian at that. The most frustrating of them all though was the false expectation that I/we should understand why God does what he does or allows in this world. The Chapter on 'God's Wisdom and Ours' has been really liberating as the honest answer is 'we don't know' much of what or why things happen the way they do.
Most importantly though is the fact that eternal life is found in 'Knowing God', not a whole load of rules and regulations.
If you are seriously seeking God and are open to be challenged and changed by his Word, then take the time to study this book. It will take some time but you will be very much rewarded. I honestly get excited in a way I didn't think possible at the prospect of working through each Chapter and study.
