One of the earlier death camps. The gas chambers and trenches with which too execute and burn bodies were no doubt an example which was followed by the modification and building of the much larger Birkenau camp. The people transported to Treblinka in train carriages were tired and starving if not dead on arrival at the camp after several days without food or water. This helped to subdue the people who then just walked into the gas chambers willingly believing they were showers. Treblinka railway station was not as it seemed to the victims it was just another ploy by the Germans to deceive the Jewish people into thinking that they were going to be alright.
