I am undoubtedly NOT of the right demographic to enjoy Scarlett Fever. Saw her playing support to Mike and the Mechanics earlier this year. At the concert their sound was sometimes a bit naff, but I put this down to the sound engineer not getting it right. So I bought the album on the basis of a couple of numbers I liked. Well this 48 year old bloke (who knows a bit about music), thought the album was a good 'un. Tighter sound (and so it should be in a studio), better positioning of the vocal and she can really sing. Grind 'em out style, reflective ballads, poppy. I'd say give it a go, especially if you relish Jo Willey being on Radio 2 now.
