5.0 out of 5 stars A must buy for any Star Trek TNG fan, 24 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season 6 [1992] [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
Yes I completely agree that this blu- Ray disk set is very expensive. Then again,
you are getting a lot for your money and just think how much time and money goes into remastering every single 45min episode. It takes a long time! Anyway if you have any for the previous seasons blu-Ray box sets then you will know what to expect in regards to sound and picture quality, which is simply stunning. Also as we are now getting towards the end of the series with season seven still to come the quality of the special effects such as the ships and planets etc are far far better then in season 2 or 3 for example and in blu-Ray it looks amazing. Prime example of how good the special effects look on blu-Ray is the episode were Scotty returns. Just try out your normal VHS or DVD version first and then try this blu-Ray and you will get what I mean. To sum it up if you love Star Trek as much as I do then you won't mind paying the money as it's well well worth it to see the series the way it was meant to be seen. Also transferring to blu-Ray will mean that these episodes will hopefully be watched for another 20 years or so. A MUST BUY FOR ANY STAR TREK FAN.

I agree that this set (all the seasons) look stunning on Blu-ray, however there comes a point when feel that you are getting ripped off by an outlet! When Sainsburys were selling discs on-line Amazon UK seemed to keep price parity with them, but now, with Sainsburys out of the way, Amazon Uk just doesn't care! As a Star Trek fan I refuse to pay any price for this set! What would happen if season 7 was £80.00, would you be prepared to pay that as a fan, that is what Amazon UK is relying on! It is saying something when the set is cheaper to import from Europe. Also fans are not being gouged by Amazon US, as in £ it works out as only £40.74...rip off Britain again!!
