5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic Album From The 60's, 22 Feb. 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Mixed Bag (Audio CD)
One of the top ten albums of all time! Includes great songs like "Handsome Johnny" (later made famous at Woodstock), a version of "Just Like A Woman" that's better than Dylan's own version, and one of the most beautiful songs ever-"Follow".
Havens is a true original!

KaleHawkwood says:
I love Richie H, and have this CD, but to state that his version of Just Like a Woman is better than Dylan`s is plain daft. (Nina Simone & Manfred Mann did better versions.)What I can`t get over is how Richie messes up the words in the first verse - "her ribbons and her curls have `problem`..." and then sings a phrase which thereby makes no sense at all. Changing lyrics is one thing (and many have done it) but the thing has to make sense, esp on such an intense song.
Mixed Bag holds up well, but it can`t hold a candle to his recent Wishing Well. Love the man though!
