Wove a confusing tale in its eagerness to tie the last knot.,

I am generally not a fan of Fantasy so perhaps I got what I expected. I just wanted to get it finished. I could feel the plot devices coming as every time there was a spot of bother another discovery would be made or an old friend would turn up, which also made it confusing as I read the last installment so long ago. It is a book that wants so badly to tie up loose ends (which I had mostly forgotten about in the gap between reading) but loses a lot of its magic in the process. I think these books need to be read together as one to retain any sense of continuity. Also for people so intelligent they could never grasp the essential triangular life thing. Annoying. Sorry.
