This review is from: Flash Harry (Audio CD)
This is a welcome release of Harry's last album. It does take a couple of listens to get used to the pristine digital sound after 30 years of analogue vinyl. Its not essential for casual Nilsson fans, but it's not the bad album people think. During the latter part of the 70's Harry produced some "off the wall" material for his albums but "Flash Harry" is pretty straight forward. "Old Dirt Road", "I Don't Need You", "Best Move" & "Bright Side Of Life" are all pleasant enough. "Harry" is a bit of an oddity. The rest of the material isn't much to write home about but fits in with the overall feel of the album. So perhaps a must for his fans but not much to attract casual listeners or those looking for another "Nilsson Schmilsson"
