There is little joy in this vapid, occasionally silly and extremely palid copy of the Nordic thriller Bron/Broen. A lack luster ccopy that rings no bell in the things that make for a successful thriller. The story is slightly corrupted but easily recognizable. The direction is pale and somewhat weak. Production is just "there" and no more. The acting is sad with the feeling that the actors would rather be somewhere else in another production and not even an adequate photocopy of Copenhagen (Denmark) Homicide Detective Martin Rhode and Stoic occasionally childlike Malmo County Police Detective Saga Noren; the diamond of the show. I sat thru each and every episode of the Tunnel and was much less than thrilled but I felt it unfair to critique without giving it a chance. If there is nothing even slightly better, run from this unhappy and generally boring copycat/wannabe "International Thriller".
