Four Stars - A Very Good Read,

I chose this book because the blurb read well, the reviews were all good and it's a debut novel written by a young Irish author. I really did enjoy the start of the book, I found the violence in Craig's apartment sickening, but it actually did contribute to the story line. But I began to feel disappointed when the FBI came into the story line, while I only read fiction, I like my fiction to be credible and this just didn't seem believable to me. The very brutal violence at the end of the book was once again sickening and, I think, a bit over the top. The book ended rather well, I thought - definitely not a 'happy ever after story'.
From a technical point of view, it needed better editing. In places it read as if changes were made, but the original text remained. Also, in parts there were extra words in sentances and words left out of sentances - for example, at Location 1690 'There was funeral taking place'. This is a very small gripe, I've read ebooks with much, much worse grammar, spelling and typos. So I'd like to repeat myself and say I enjoyed this book, it was great for a debut novel and I would read another book by D.C. Gogan.
