The only thing that is amazing to me is how mainstream scientists continue to reject the evidence for our evolution that Elaine Morgan presents so well in this book. It's the only theory that stands up under scrutiny, and as someone else mentioned, it should be taught in schools. Understanding the aquatic phase of our evolution also helps to explain why we are so 'different' from other terrestial mammals, and shows the links with other aquatic ones. Recognising our place in the greater scheme of things may also help us to become a better species! Elaine Morgan has done an excellent job of helping us to recognise this place. Read the book!
