Customer Review

The latest audio adventure for the eighth doctor and his new companion, feisty northern lass lucie miller. Another that is a single story in forty five minutes, this one starts right in the middle of the action, with the tardis crew trying to prevent a thief from getting away on a starship. The pace of these early scenes, once you get used to them, is electric and quite gripping, and the two leads once again demonstrate what a wonderful chemistry they have together.

The story switches direction abruptly when they track down the villain once again, and are not prepared for what they find.

These scenes are quieter and more domestic, and allow the guest cast to put in some pretty good work, the characters relating very well to each other. Things are resolved with monsters and some slightly tear jerking moments, all to a lovely bit of traditional hungarian music.

A decent little story in it's own right, it then considers for a few more minutes as the ongoing story arc of this series of audios suddenly develops further, leading to a cliffhanger that will make your desperate to find what happens in the next one. A good audio all in all.
