Ann, it WILL run on the latest Macintosh computers, but NOT if they have Mac OS X Lion installed. That's because Apple has abandoned classic Mac support with Lion. So your review's title should probably read 'Beware of the Lion' ;-)
However, there's an easy way around this kind of conundrum: Get hold of an old Windows XP (they're cheap now) and install it via VirtualBox (a free emulator by Oracle, which can be found on the internet). That way, Windows - and thus all kinds of older language learning software - will run in Lion. You can even allocate a separate virtual desktop to Windows and have it running while you use your Mac as usual.
