This review is from: Pocket Rocket: Don't Quit! The Autobiography of Wayne McCullough (Hardcover)
Having followed Wayne since his Olympic debut I knew he was special. He never pulled any punches and always gave his all in the ring. He does the same in this book and describes the highs like winning his Olympic Silver Medal and being the only British fighter to go to Japan and WIN a World Title, to the low times he went through when his world almost collapsed in on itself when he was told he'd never fight again and had his licence to box taken from him by the BBBC following the discovery of a cyst on his brain.
In his own words, Wayne recounts how he felt then and in the years that followed. Everyone he fought had the utmost respect for him and his granite chin and even now he still commands that respect from boxers and people in general because he sticks by his motto "DON'T QUIT" . He has set up a charity called IHOW (I Help Out Worldwide) and is always on Twitter to answer questions.
