A great product,

This review is from: TFA Digital Cooking Thermo-Timer, White (Kitchen & Home)
I bought this as a replacement for a Mastrad Meat and Jam Thermo Sensor. I've given it five stars because it does exactly what I want and has not let me down in a couple of months of use, although that was true of the Mastrad!
I use it mostly for bread making. I set the timer for the approximate baking time, then insert the temperature probe to check when the loaf is truly done.
The TFA is much better than the Mastrad because:
1. It's about £8 cheaper.
2. It has an armoured cable connecting the probe, rather than a (splittable) silicone sheath.
3. The timer is set in hours and minutes, rather than the Mastrad's minutes and seconds - I don't time my bread making in seconds.
4. The Mastrad's display must be selected between timer and thermometer. The TFA shows both simultaneously.
5. The Mastrad indicates when a temperature has been exceeded. The TFA will show when a temperature exceeds or falls below a set temperature.
