An excellent, stylish product,
This review is from: Philips HTL5120/12 Wireless Soundbar Speaker with 120W Integrated Subwoofer/Orientation Sensor (Electronics)
I'm pleased that the research I did paid off - I am very pleased with this soundbar and the quality of output is ideal for my home environment, and a substantial improvement on the (quite reasonable) TV sound. I have a Blu-ray player connected on one HDMI and a WD Live player on the other, and my Tivo box is connected by audio digital. This configuration works well, as the soundbar seems to default to the digital audio connection (originally I had the Tivo on HDMI 1 and, once the soundbar woke up on this channel, it defaulted to audio digital, so I had to switch it back to HDMI1 again).
The two-way TV connection automatically switches off the soundbar when the TV is switched off (though the opposite doesn't happen for me, unfortunately). The Blu-ray player kicked in all the right connections and the "surround sound" seemed to work reasonably well for that. For TV use, I have this switched off as it doesn't add anything. The Night Bass mode works well and the sound still has a good depth to it when this is active.
