Whilst I agree with others that the grammatical errors are shocking, I see no point in turning it into a personal attack on a man who works hard to protect the public from "naughty people" - read, "scum". This is down to the publisher, not the author, who's already admitted his grammar isn't the best.
This book gives a great, humorous and sometimes light hearted insight into everyday policing, and the challenges officers face everyday in protecting the public from others, and often protecting them from themselves. Yes, occasionally you do have to rearrange a couple of sentences to make it read correctly, but don't let that put you off getting stuck in. Whilst we merrily go about our lives complaining about another train delay, it's people such as PC Hole who are cleaning up body parts from the tracks so you can get home to your family.
