1.0 out of 5 stars ZTT milking it yet again!, 10 Feb. 2014
By
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Frankie Said (Deluxe Edition) [CD / DVD] (Audio CD)
I received this from Amazon today and was looking forward to seeing all the original videos again, however, in this day and age I would have expected them to have been digitally remastered, but alas they are not! The quality is appaling and nothing better than you would see on Youtube, so why bother paying for them in that case?

I honestly feel that ZTT are yet again just cashing in on FGTH, without spending anything on post production to bring the recordings into the 21st century.

Unless you don't have the videos or tracks previously, which most fans I assume would already have on previous dvd and cd releases, then there really isn't much point in wasting your money on this con.

My opinion I agree and some might feel otherwise, but just informing potential purchasers, so that they don't waste their money.

My dear gentlemen do not ever ask the recording industry of America to have respect for the music of the 1980s,they could care less, with the attitude of the last 20 or so years from society/casual fans and curious on lookers, the 1980s were basically a cruel joke in music and they will always influence the next generation with their childish/ hateful "Dated" response

Thanks for the feedback, VIPMEDIA, but I can't figure how could "most fans already have those tracks on previous DVD releases", since the only official DVD available until now (albeit under various formats) has been Frankie Say Greatest [DVD] [2009] (this edition being the most recent example), and it contained only the promo videos, NOT the TV appearances.

The major problem with remastering the early videos is they had audio mixes unique to the format. Unless they can find the audio equivalent in the ZTT archives I'm afraid we'll have to put up with them as is.
