The Very Best Of Eddie Cochran My first awareness of Eddie Cochran was in 1960 when his (posthumously released) song "Three Stars" came out, a memorial and tribute to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and The Big Bopper who had died in a plane crash the year before. That song became very popular, and helped us (teenagers at the time) come to grips with the deaths of those three. I am delighted with this album. I played it on Feb 3, 2009 which was the 50th anniversary of that plane crash. I play this CD in my car - driving down the road hearing Cochran's energetic beautiful voice makes me feel 18 again. Eddie, we still miss you, everybody sends their love.
