This review is from: Colossus: The secrets of Bletchley Park's code-breaking computers (Paperback)
A fascinating book which is highly technical in parts. IF the technicalites are too much one can still derive a good understanding of the importance of this first computer from the general text. The great tragedy was that the inventor, Dr Tom Flowers of the British Post Office, could not benefit from his invention of what ammounted to the first real computer because of the official secrets act. Only towards the end of his life could he talk about it.
