This review is from: Buried (A Bone Secrets Novel) (Kindle Edition)
Buried is Kendra Elliot's third book in the Bone Secrets series. Having read the other two books I must admit that they get better as they progress. Each book features a main character who appears as supporting characters in the other books. It's a great way to keep a familiar feel to a series without having each book cover the same characters. In this book we once again meet up with the gorgeous Michael Brody who was infatuated with Lacey Campbell in the first book. Michael drops his journalist hat when he has a personal agenda after a grisly mass grave found in the woods. Two decades after the disappearance of a bus load of children, their remains are found with strong indications of child abuse. Michael hurries to the site to hopefully lay to rest his missing brother only to find that his brother's remains unaccounted for. And so begins the hunt for his missing brother where Michael teams up with the lovely Jamie, the sister of the only known survivor of the abduction and abuse. However, it seems like the original child sex offender and murderer is on the loose trying to silence the remaining survivor.
This book is full of graphic violence, kidnapping, beatings and fight scenes. It's very tastefully written and totally gripping and in my opinion, it is the best book by far. The romance between Jamie and Michael is well written and I'm thankful that it's not over the top. I'm looking forward to Veiled, the next book in the series.
