The movie kicks off with a camera shot of the back of a woman going towards a cinema theatre and when she enters she appears to be the character Clara Mani played by the sheer beautiful Lucia Bosé. We see her star in a movie however along the way we learn that she longs to play in movies of higher importance and cultural value however she remains being casted in B - or lesser important movies. On top of that she ends up being unluckily married and starts a love affair with another man but when Clara says that she wants to end her marriage and thinks seriously of her new relationship her new partner leaves her. She is lonely and depressed however focusses on lessons to become a better actrice. How this continues you should see the film as i do not want to disclose the ending. I am especially fond of the long shots by Antonioni like ao. The Passenger (1975 - btw. a blu ray release of this 70's classic would be highly appreciated ) and must say he is one of my favourite Italian directors. Moreover the the whole package by Eureka!/the Masters of Cinema is again a jewel with a beautiful booklet. A true must have. Highest possible recommendation.
