Short with not much flair but still interesting,
This review is from: Over a Hot Stove: A Kitchen Maid's Story (Paperback)
Having read most of these books now available, from 'The Maids Tale' to 'Aprons & silver spoons' to many of Pamela Horn's books on the history of servants; I found this short and rather disappointing. It's readable, but just does not go into the detail of most of the other books nor does it have the literary flair which some of the others seem to have.
However she obviously had an interesting life and was a character.
