So far, so good!,
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: IBP Healthcare IBP Sonic Ultra Violet Rechargeable Toothbrush (Personal Care)
Nothing will ever be able to replace the wonderful Ultrasonex sonic toothbrush but as they're not manufactured any longer, a replacement had to be found. Having tried the Colgate (rubbish) and not wanting an overpriced Philips or Oral-B, IBP seemed to be the only alternative on offer and as this is the latest model, I decided to give it a try.
So far, so good. With 40,000 oscillations per minute, the teeth certainly feel very clean after using and the mouth feels very fresh. With a two-minute timer, there is a useful pause every 30 seconds so you can be sure you're giving all the surfaces of the teeth an even clean. It is efficient and easy to use.
It has a very good little extra: there is a small chamber at the back of the holder which has an ultra violet light for hygienic cleaning of the toothbrush heads. Unfortunately, this turns on automatically when you close the lid so that after you've retrieved the brush and shut the lid, it switches itself on again!
The only other apparent negative thus far is the styling of the product which is pretty ghastly. Plain white would have been so much more attractive and far more in keeping with today's bathroom decor. Navy swirls - what *were* they thinking?
It's too early to comment yet on battery life but I shall try to remember to update this review when I have had the machine a little longer.
UPDATE: It has now been three months since purchasing this sonic toothbrush and I continue to be pleased with the purchase. The battery appears to be holding up well and I am still on the first brush-head (four are included) which is pretty good going, I reckon.
