This review is from: Remembering Judith - A true story of shattered childhoods (Kindle Edition)
Ruth has spent almost her whole life with a mother who suffers from anorexia and a farther who distances himself both physically and emotionally. This is such a sad story that gives so much insight into what life was like living with an anorexic through the 1950s 60's and 70's. Ruth is an amazingly strong woman who has dealt with so much. This book lays all bear and I think Ruth should be commended not just for her skill at writing and having the strength to share it, but also for having dealt with so much so well.

a lesson learnt ,to not trust a review of a book ever again again, can't believe others liked this it, as I fond this dismal read not only with so many in consistences , but un believable, account of a life,

while so much script was graphicly spent on vomiting , diarrhoea ,and being carried to the toilet, of the abusive mother ,

as to the abuse of the father , sexual abuse was hinted at , but then forgotten,!!

a truly dreadful read with as many inaccuracy's as you could find in one story

At best Ruth gets even ,with her vile parents , by outing them after their deaths ,

the incite in to the Jewish religion , its many customs and festivals , was both interesting and accurate ,

as too was the food menu's and cooking references
