I first read this book over twenty years ago. It is the last in a series of four, and the best books I have ever read. I must have read them ten times and I will probably read them again at some point in the future. I bought Lime St at Two again to replace a copy that was lost. Helen Forresters inspirational but not self pitying account of her family's fall from grace in the thirties is an absorbing read. I read this book in a weekend, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first time I read it. Not your average misery memoir and possibly the original and one of the best.
