Customer Review

on 2 March 2011
I loved the first book in the Millenium series, but The Girl Who Played with Fire was a huge letdown.

The characters were all very wooden and not especially believable, and the plot turned out to be cliched and almost like something out of a comic book.

Also, for about half the book nothing in particular seemed to happen, and I found it very dull work reading through it all.

The only redeeming features were the quality of Larsson's cliffhangers and description of action scenes, the craft of the first few and last few chapters were certainly very readable.

Overall, a very disappointing read, and definitely not deserving of all the hype.
